It’s a start
At Habit, as soon as we think we have something exciting to show the world, we try to get it out as soon as possible. Thus in a relatively minimal state, Minivid made its debut 3 weeks ago. Luckily enough, we are not the only ones excited about Minivids. The creativity, community, and feedback so far have been fantastic! The hours already lost to watching hilarious and touching Minivid after Minvid by the fuzzwich.com team are almost embarrassing to admit. We are ecstatic that we have added (hopefully positively) to the entertaining noise of the Internet. And we’re just getting started!
This blog will serve as the starting point to our effort to build a community around fuzzwich.com and Minivids. We are going to keep you up to date about the happenings at fuzzwich.com, and hopefully you guys will continue to tell us what you want to see. The outpouring of feature requests have been overwhelming, and we are frantically building lists and priorities to get new features out as soon as possible.
For the immediate upcoming improvements, we are concentrating on the three most popular requests:
1) Optional User Accounts – The word optional is important here, as we want the barrier to entry to be as low as possible to use Minivid. You shouldn’t need to have an account to create, watch or share fun messages and animations. However, for those desiring a little more, a whole set of features will open up with an account. The two most popular being a unique verifiable name and of course keeping a history of authored Minivids.
2) Customization – It seems everybody wants to put their face or their friend’s face on a character, and we think that sounds like good fun
. While we don’t want to reveal everything, far more character customization options will gradually unroll, including the ability to upload faces and apply them to characters.
3) Make Minivid Easier! – While it’s easy for the developers to say that Minivid is dead simple animation, we realize that the experience can still be a little intimidating to new users. Efforts such as a full tutorial as well as interface tweaks will lead the way into making Minivid accessible to everyone.
Glad you found us. Keep on enjoying fuzzwich.com. Keep letting us know what you think, whether it be the good the bad or the ugly. Ciao.
